And the footy's nearly over...things are looking good for the Navy Blues, also my son's soccer team. I'm in training for beach roller derby as you read this. On with the news!!!
I am taking THE PSYCHEDELIC WILDMEN, that trembling bouquet of sensitive yet powerful modern men of music, on the road this month. We are travelling to Canberra, where we will play at The Front Gallery (no website, but you can find them on facebook) on September 22 with the excellent Den Hanrahan ( apparently sleeping in his caravanrahan! ); thence to Sydney, where we will perform with special guest Acey Monaro, the most spectacular woman in NSW, at The Marrickville Bowling Club (www.marrickvillebowlingclub.com.au) on September 23, and finally, to Newcastle, where my hero Gleny Rae's new trio The Swiss Army Wives will support us at The Wickham Park Hotel (facebook The Wicko!) on September 24!!! It's very exciting and we can't wait.
Please forward this to anyone you know in these areas and beseech them to cancel any plans they have that weekend in favour of US!!!!!
